Nigel Loster

Originally from White Rock, British Columbia, I moved to Vancouver in 2012 to pursue a career in game development. Graduating from the Game Design Program at Vancouver Film School in 2013.
I started at The Coalition in 2015, providing development support for the Core Gameplay team before transitioning to a Gameplay Designer role in 2017.
On Gears 5 I worked as a Gameplay designer, creating interactive destructible objects, gore physics, new Swarm enemies and the Sand Kraken boss fights.
In 2020, I joined Xbox Game Studios newest studio The Initiative, where I worked as a Technical Game Designer until February 2022.
Since then I've been at Respawn Entertainment as a Technical Game Designer where we most recently released Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, where I created the Skill tree, New Journey +, reward chests and force interactables.
